The Problem
Cambio Healthcare is a large organisation with investments and a supply chain across many countries. However, gathering the intel for its UK office’s carbon footprint could be understood and relayed to Sweden through the assistance of Beyond Procurement.
Solution and Outcome
The Team at Beyond Procurement, sponsored by Reading BIDs, was brought in to analyse the company’s (Scope 1 & 2, and elements of Scope 3; business travel including flights and waste) emissions to help create a Strategic Report. During this process, it was determined that although they were in a serviced office and their energy consumption would fall outside their control, the business was willing to strive for change.
They are ISO 14001 certified and have assigned someone to manage and implement any environmental campaigns for the business that were identified by the Strategic Report supplied by Beyond Procurement and through working with the ISO auditors.
The office space already had all their lights switched to LEDs, and almost all potential operational changes (insulation, double glazing, boilers and air conditioning unit upgrades) were managed and implemented by the leasing management office. Moving forward, Cambio Healthcare UK Ltd would implement a circular economy and awareness campaign to potentially lower its 3.9-tonne carbon footprint further while also spreading the information that they are proud to be a Carbon Neutral Office within the organisation.
