The Problem

Alforno’s was on a very high tariff for gas when Fabio took over the restaurant in summer 2022, and was not allowed to change or leave his supplier. The rates Alforno were as high as £40.48p per KWh, potentially costing the business over £42,000 per year.

Solution and Outcome

Beyond Procurement were asked to help Fabio with the backdated payments, and ongoing contract. We negotiated with his current supplier and agreed to a backdated lower payment and exit strategy.

The resulting solution allowed for the rates to be backdated from £40.48p/KWh to £8.289p/KWh, and ongoing rate of £7.8p/KWh.

This solution represents a saving of £74,312 over the course of a 2 year contract. Due to supplier relationships and expertise within the energy market, Beyond Procurement is able to talk through issues, and present best-case solutions for businesses.
