The Problem
Suits and Boots have a real passion for every aspect of their business, including its environmental impact, however, they do not have the expertise or time to navigate through a carbon calculation independently. This is where Kent County Council and Beyond Procurement stepped in to assist.
Solution and Outcome
The Team at Beyond Procurement was brought in to analyse the company’s (Scope 1 & 2) emissions to help create a Strategic Report. During this process, it was determined that although they were in a serviced office, they could breach a lot of the discussion points with their landlord to attempt to make the building more energy efficient. Also, their 8.8-tonne carbon footprint would be offset to allow the business to claim its carbon-neutral status.
Currently, the office is already using LEDS and moving forward, the business will investigate implementing a cycle-to-work scheme for their employees to become even more environmentally friendly, as well as incorporating a circular economy throughout the office.
