Earthian Goods Ltd is your next-stop shop for all things plastic-free. They are located right in the heart of Winchester and encourage individuals to reduce their plastic waste by reusing their own containers to carry all organic and ethically sourced food staples as well as cleaning products.
The Problem
Earthian Goods Ltd already has sustainability at the heart of their organisation, however, they wanted to take it to the next step and become carbon neutral. This step was crucial for the business to achieve not only for their own morals and aims but for their customer’s continued support. However, the Earthian Team had no expertise or time to navigate the complex journey towards Net Zero alone.
Solution and Outcome
Beyond Procurement was brought in to analyse the company’s emissions (Scopes 1 &2) in order to help create a strategic Carbon Reduction Report. By already being on a renewable tariff for their energy consumption, Earhtian Goods Ltd was able to remove 0.5 tonnes off their already miniscule carbon footprint (0.1 tonnes of CO2). This being said, Earthian Goods is doing a lot already to be a sustainable business and spread this awareness amongst its team and customers.
They recently offset this figure to become a carbon-neutral business for 2022. Their goal for 2023 is to analyse their supply chain to assess their Scope 3 emissions and hit Net Zero.
