Methane stays in the atmosphere for approximately 12 years and nitrous oxide stays for approx. 109 years. Co2 remains in the atmosphere for a thousand years.
Measured over 100 years, methane is 27.9 times more potent than CO2 in causing global warming, while nitrous oxide is 273 times more potent.
